About Peter Subtelny
Peter Subtelny is a seasoned engineering professional, author, and leader. He
utilizes his strong interpersonal communication skills to execute key projects
with teams of varying sizes. His versatility allows him to work with diverse
professionals, such as engineers, plant operators, and managers. Peter Subtelny
has worked abroad in Japan, Denmark, the United Arab Emirates, and other
countries.
Peter Subtelny received a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude
in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston. While working toward
his degree, he completed an internship in mechanical engineering with
Halliburton–Offshore Energy Services, working to resolve design discrepancies.
He went on to work as a Maritime Engineer for Maritime Petroleum Transportation
and Upstream Offshore Oil and Gas Production, a position he held for seven
years. In this role, he published a research paper entitled “Method of
Calculating the Discharge Coefficients Applied to the Design of Free Discharge
Manifolds.” He published an additional article, along with a textbook,
Introduction to Pipe Support Design. A patent holder and innovator, Peter
Subtelny has earned awards for his work in engineering and design development.
In addition to holding a lifetime membership to the American Society of
Mechanical Engineers, Peter Subtelny serves as an editor on behalf of the
International Journal of the Korean Wielding
Society.
